All-on-4 Dental Implants

Four strategically placed implants supporting a complete arch of permanent teeth — the most established and widely researched full-arch implant protocol.

Last medically reviewed: • Updated monthly

The All-on-4 concept uses four titanium implants per arch to support a fixed, full-arch prosthesis. Two implants are placed vertically in the anterior jaw where bone is naturally thicker, and two posterior implants are angled up to 45 degrees to maximize bone contact while avoiding the sinuses (upper jaw) or nerve canal (lower jaw). This angulation often eliminates the need for bone grafting or sinus lifts.

How All-on-4 Differs from All-on-6

While All-on-4 uses four implants, All-on-6 adds two more for additional support. The right choice depends on bone density (measured via CBCT imaging), jaw anatomy, and bite forces. Our board-certified surgeons customize the approach for each patient — what we call All-on-X.

The Procedure

The complete 5-step process begins with a free 3D scan, followed by digital smile design, surgery under IV sedation or general anesthesia, and delivery of your permanent zirconia teeth within 24 hours. Everything happens in our in-house facility.

Cost

All-on-4 treatment at Granite Bay ranges from $15,000–$25,000 per arch, all-inclusive. Financing from $249/month is available. This includes imaging, surgery, anesthesia, and your final zirconia prosthesis.

When All-on-4 Fails

While success rates are excellent, All-on-4 can fail due to peri-implantitis, poor placement, or insufficient bone. If your All-on-4 from another provider has failed, our All-on-4 revision program can help — with a 96.7% replacement success rate. Learn the warning signs of failing implants.
